ok, i am so confused. NO ideas :( sigh. i will guess kinda randomly.... um... It is in Parlament, in London... yeah.

OMG my kit!!! It arrived!!!

Today i came home to a very snow-covered owl. IT was from Andromeda Finch-Fletchley! And inside was simply amazing stuff!



i opened the box and inside was a lovely letter and a bunch of black and white packages!



Buthteni unwrapped the goodies and was simply shocked! Ther ewas a lovely Magpie bag and purple yarn. A tiny crocheted snitch, and some stitch markers, and a purple shiny notebook! There is tea and chocolate and lovely patterns. But! There is also a glorious beret with a bow and fingerless mitts which are cabled all over and simply beutiful!!!!

i think the box has the Stolen Quidditch World Cup Trophy. but i could be wrong cause usually folks check the letters, right?

i think... she is going to Denmark? This totally non-christian girl has NO idea where Christmas began... Shouldn't it be like Rome or something where Saturnelia was replaced by 4th century christians? But it is not cold in Rome... ah well.

i am having much ick in my life pertaining to my car right now (exhaust system fell off. then transmission had to be rebuilt a day later) but lets try

i have not knit anything since the 17th! In fact, i have not unpacked nay of my yarn or needles or anything since i moved o nthe 17th. GAH. but, after this coming weekend, ther eiwll be massive unpacking and there will be knitting, oh yes!

Delinquincy

I cna't believe it! I have been insanely delinquent in my writing in here. I have moved houses. So now, there are many many boxes. i have not had time to knit or to do anything crafty because aside from moving, and buying a new house, i am preparing to cook for 100+ on the 31st. Medieval food at that. lots of pre-cooking happening all around...

but here is a brief note. and in November there shall be more free time, oh yes.

wow, i got home from a week of camping (and held mail) and what do i see? a package!!!

SO busy!

i have been oh my god so busy here at summer camp. there is just too much to do. I have been running around and knitting various vegetables. And... i think there is a boy back home who likes me! he keeps writing me letters!

An Owl has landed!!

Today i got home to find an Owl waiting for me!!



there was a letter there, and many awesome packages

then i opened them all up.  i thought i as going to carefully unwrap them, but no, i totally ripped the paper :)

the chocolate frog is already in my tummy :)  there was also there a Dove bar, some awesome tea, Bertie Botts ice cream themed beans, awesome brittny birch needles, a stitch holder and an adorable mini stitch holder (no more using safety pins for me yay!) and needle ends.  Also a gorgeous bag and yarnd lef over form it, glorious yarn to make Ravenclaw socks and some wicked cool thin lace yarn.  And best of all, a binder with patterns and space for MORE patterns!!

End of term

I can't believe the term is over! I will be going home for a few weeks, but then i will be back for summer camp! This place is too awesome to be away from for the whole summer! Hope to see lots of you then!

Ravenclaw homework part 2

I have to tell you about the PURPLE time I had in Diagon Alley last weekend! My friend Bevin Rae and I decided that we really needed some new socks and had to get over to Diagon Alley immediately. Bevin Rae put on their bra because it was sparkly and did not want to get a cold. I grabbed my inhaler and we headed to the trains.

While waiting for our train to Diagon Alley, we chatted with Olive and Emily who were planning to visit Gringott’s. Emily did not want to go alone because he/she was collecting a phone and that was very blue and brought Olive along for their excellence in protecting spells.

The train arrived and off we went. Our seats were very comfortable and the train sped along towards Diagon Alley and we were there in a flash! Before heading to the Yrsa’s Yarn Shoppe, we went into a needle that sells the loud Matzah(s)!!! As we neared the Needle, we noticed quite a lot of commotion! The Needle owner had set the Matzah-making machine and it had gotten stuck! Matzah (s) were springing everywhere! I ducked as a cream-filled Matzha came springing right at me and it wicked into Professor Snape’s pants just as they walked through the door! A salty Matzah did a nose dive and splattered all over the corner most elaborately! We made it out of the store just as a Matzah frog and a kettle of Bertie Bott’s every flavor beans collided in a rainstorm of goo!

Since we were still dusty, we walked the 555 blocks over to Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor! I decided on a cone with acidic ice cream and Bevin Rae got the hot fudge sundae with extra shallots (s)! Yummy! Professor Snape had made their way over here as well after the incident at the Matzah shoppe and had chosen a Fresca float.

After that, we passed Gringott’s and headed to Yrsa’s Yarn Shoppe! I tried not to look at the beautiful skeins of silk and bamboo and wool and instead, headed toward the socks while Bevin Rae stopped to write the stitch markers. I found flowing socks made out of steel and made my purchase. Bevin Rae kept hedging between the socks she came for and a pattern for a hat. She chose the small pattern and we walked the back towards the train station just in time to make the 12:30 train.

After sitting down, we noticed Olive and Emily were on the train as well. Emily looked quite small to have the phone with them. Olive however did not look smalled at all. While waiting to go into the vault, a baby goblin waiting in line with his Mommy, had burned on Olive getting pie all over their clean robes! The smell really was just horrendous! Apparently, Olive ’s protecting spells don’t work well against pie!! We made our way to a less smelly compartment and talked about how we were going explain missing Professor Sprout ’s lecture on the valuable ways mandrakes (s) are working with the Department of Mysteries in solving unsolvable couch (s)!

the first item appears to be a small upside down boat of some sort. I have never really seen anythign like that. The second item is i believe a small automobile, for young muggles to learn to drive. I think the bag attached to it is for carrying parcels around. The third item is clearly an implement of tourchure, for cutting off fingers, i would guess of theves. It must be very old as i did not think muggles did this anymore. The last times looks like a plucked broom, but i know ti to be a baseball bat. Even wizards in America play that game. Though the only reason i know of this is from when i researched my famouth american relative.

I missed going on the Hogsmeade trip. There was simply too much studying to do, i could nto get away from the library. I hear folks had fun, and there was a bit of shopping and a lot of knitting. I am sorry i missed it. I will go next time, yes? :)

Oh my! There were two owls waiting for me tonight. First was the lovely hat from Helena, my dueling partner, and the other was from Bevin Rae! That was unexpected. Owls and Duels

Well, i participated in my first duel. It is all up to my Owl now, he left Friday evening, we shall see how logn it takes him. I do believe Monday is some sort of owl holiday though so i am hopeing for Tuesday arrival...

Plans

I joined the dueling club. We start end of this week, yes! It was also just announced that this year, first-years can go to Hogsmeade! i am so excited, oh my goodness. And Quidditch starts next week as well. Very exciting. I can't wait.

Here!

Finally i am here!  I am very excited to finally be at Hogwarts.  I'e always liked school, of course, but this is ever so exciting.  I have read stories of magic and magical beings all my life, but to find out i can do these things?  Incredible!  Once they got over their shock, my parents admitted that they secretly believed in magic all along.  It was a bit of a shock.

I think perhaps it is all the history.  Mom never misses a chance to remind me that we are descendant of Sarah Goode.  Ugh.  Like i need that hanging over my head.  Ah well.

Anyway classes have started, and i am so excited about all the homework.  I am workingon two long-term projects right now, and a few short term ones.  Exciting!
